Track: Web and Security

Montreal

Over the last few years, the notion of security has dramatically changed. In particular, data generated by web based system, government and companies exhibits a complex structure (e.g. multi-table data, XML data, web data, time series and sequences, graphs and trees, social network posts, tweets) and a multi channel access structure. This fact poses new challenges for current information systems for storing, managing and protecting these complex data effectively. The aim of this special track is to bring together researchers and practitioners of cyber security in this new area of modern computer science. It aims also at integrating recent results from existing fields such as fingerprinting, access control and cryptography to discuss and introduce new algorithmic foundations and representation formalisms. We are interested in advanced techniques that while preserving the informative richness of data, allow us to efficiently and effectively protect them from malicious uses.

Topics of interest include, but not limited to:

Suggested topics include (but not limited to) the following: Physical Data Protection; Secure Dematerialization; Data Mining for Security; Cloud Security; Authorization Strategies; Access Control; Fingerprinting; RFID Security; Work-flow Security; Social Network Security

Submission Instructions, Deadline

Submissions and registration for participation is through ConfSys. Please see instruction in: about ConfSys

Papers should be submitted using the IDEAS 2016 'event' choosing the track on "Web and Security" before 20th March 2016 (EST).

All submissions will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, relevance to conference topics of interest, originality, significance, and clarity. For double blind review, author names and affiliations must not appear in the submissions, and bibliographic references must be adjusted to preserve author anonymity.

However names of ALL authors must be entered on the paper information page in ConfSys for the submission.

Accepted track papers will be published in the IDEAS '16 proceedings by ACM in their digital library; the ISBN assigned by ACM to IDEAS16 is: 978-1-4503-4118-9

A version of the proceedings to be distributed to the conference attendees would be prepared by BytePress.
