Scope and Background

 

Applications of Big Data can be found in all disciplines across business, government, science, health, and education. Big Data Applications involves collection, management, and nalysis of large datasets in order to add value for the activities of the discipline. Big data analytics examines large data sets containing a variety of data types to uncover hidden patterns useful to making decisions in business, science, and government. This track is open to all research across all application areas touching on the storage, querying, analysis, mining, and management of Big Data.

 

Topics

 

Topics of interest include, but not limited to:

 

  • Applications to business, science, GIS, transport, supply chain, medicine, government.
  • Management of ultra-large scale structured and unstructured data;
  • Management of unstructured data, text, images, videos, social media, and graphs;
  • Distributed data mining using MapReduce and Graph processing;
  • Linked data; Semantic web;
  • Data analytics; Data mining; Outlier detection;
